What is collected

Release notes for your data, version 1.0 and still tiny. Visiting emergefestival.co.uk leaves one line in the server logs: IP address, timestamp and the page requested. Say hello via info@emergefestival.co.uk and your message plus your address is stored in our mailbox too.

  • Logs: IP, time, page.
  • Comments, when enabled: name, e-mail, comment text.
  • Mail: whatever you choose to put in it.

What stays out

No selling, no trading, no ad targeting, no behavioural profiles. The only cookies are the working ones WordPress sets so the site can run, such as remembering a comment form entry.

What changed in how it is handled

This release adds a plain promise: each item gets an expiry date.

  • Log lines are rotated out after roughly a month.
  • Comments live until you or the editor remove them.
  • Inbox threads are cleared once resolved and archived for no longer than a year.

How to request a fix

Need a copy of your entries, a correction or a wipe? Send a note to the address above naming the comment or the date of your visit. We will look up the matching entries, apply the change, and confirm by return mail. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

Compatibility notes for children

The site is meant for grown-ups and teens who follow festival and gaming news. Users below thirteen should ask a parent before commenting or e-mailing. Details we learn were sent by a young child get deleted on discovery.

Changelog policy

Any future alteration to the above lands here first, with a revised date at the foot of the page, so the newest wording is always the one you read.
